A baseball stadium

Coors Field

Surrounded by downtown Denver and the famed Rocky Mountains in the distance, the iconic Coors Field is a draw in itself, whether you’re a big baseball fan or prefer hitting the beer garden. The impressive stadium, home to the Colorado Rockies MLB team, is conveniently located in the center of the city, less than five miles from Halcyon, making catching a game even more enjoyable.

The magnificent Rocky Mountains aren’t the only Rockies Denver is known for — the Mile High City is also home to the Colorado Rockies MLB team and Coors Field. Situated in Denver’s Lower Downtown district — or LoDo — Coors Field is conveniently located in the heart of the city, less than five miles from Halcyon.

With an entrance reminiscent of the historic Ebbets Field, the premier ballpark opened in 1999 and is a beautiful stadium to enjoy a game. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to snag one of the few seats that offer a view of the Rocky Mountains themselves. It’s also an interesting park to visit, being one of the country’s most hitter-friendly ballparks — you’re likely going to see some home runs!

The Rooftop is also a popular two-tiered spot to take in the game, thanks to its panoramic views of downtown and the Front Range, as well as upscale eateries and pregame entertainment. While open to all ticket holders, it’s possible to purchase standing room-only tickets at The Rooftop that include a concession or merchandise credit. Those looking for more exclusive seating options.

FOOD OPTIONS AT COORS FIELD
Of course, you’ll find a variety of expected bars, food stalls, and concession stands at Coors Field to grab a classic hot dog and more in between innings. Some standout spots, however, include Smash Burger (which actually started in Denver back in 2007), the Sandlot (which offers barbecue favorites), and the open-air Silver Bullet Bar (which serves local canned and draft beer, as well as wine, cocktails, and frosé). Alternatively, Coors Stadium has a fairly lenient BYO food and beverage policy, allowing personal foods and drinks (non-alcoholic) to enter the stadium as long as they are in approved containers.

Being in the trendy LoDo neighborhood, there are a ton of drinking and dining options right around the stadium, giving you plenty of choices for places to grab a drink or meal before or after the game. (Plus, they go well beyond your typical stadium fare).

OTHER EVENTS & EXPERIENCES AT COORS FIELD
While baseball is naturally the big draw, Coors Field hosts other events, such as concerts or exhibitions. You can go on Coors Field Tours throughout the year with tickets available for purchase online, at the Coors Field Ticket Office, or by phone at 303.ROCKIES. The stadium also offers a range of event spaces and catering services to hold private functions.

PARKING AT COORS FIELD
Coors Field has two parking lots adjacent to the stadium with advance individual game parking passes available. There are also several other lots and parking garages in the area surrounding the stadium as well as some street parking.

GETTING TO COORS FIELD
From Halcyon, Coors Field is just over four miles away driving. If you don’t want to deal with parking, rideshares can get you to the stadium in less than 30 minutes from the hotel. It’s also possible to piece together a bus route with RTD Denver.
